This week is very different from last week in that my kids went to school on Monday and Tuesday! I feel like a goddamn super hero.

Reading

I’m about halfway through Elisa Albert’s Human Blues. Has anyone else read it? This is one of those books I really wanna talk about! I’m very much still processing, but she brings up so many ideas about wellness and reproduction and fertility and bodily autonomy I hadn’t really considered before. SO MANY THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS.

Mags

I adore actual magazines you can hold in your hand, and my subscription to New York Magazine always entertains and edifies (plus I love doing the crossword while engaged in light parenting - it’s a nice way to be present but also not bored). Here’s Kathryn Jezer-Morton on the correct etiquette for the parenting of kids who are not your own kids in the park.

“If you know my kid by name, and you see him doing something uncool, I am grateful for your swift attention to the matter.”

💯

A thing I love that sparks legit joy (I trust we all saw that Marie Kondo’s life has become a little less tidy because kids?)
