I’m slowly easing my way back into social media, and I’m trying to figure out a way to hold onto the freedom I found while off it while simultaneously reaping its (few) benefits, which, for me, include staying abreast of current events and interesting cultural conversations. Like all endeavors that require balance and discipline and self-awareness, it’s not easy, and I’ll be writing more about all of that in a future newsletter. In nature news, I saw a fox trying to grab a baby turkey the other day on my run but the mother turkey was NOT having it. This drama unfolded a mere yard or two away from me and it was a reminder that nature cares very little about humanity when it’s a matter of life or death. I found this truth comforting.
