Mr. Ballerina Farm Is a French Woman Who Never Gets Fat
And I'm HERE FOR IT!!
This week, Daniel Neeleman made my fucking DAY by telling a reporter at GQ so many egregious things about health, diet, exercise, gendered appetites, the “ultra-nineties,” the evils of Gushers, and of course CLEAN EATING. When Virginia Sole-Smith cozied up to a google doc to process, I found it hard to not quote every other line. Did you know you could develop a food intolerance to Doritos but NOT homemade tortilla chips made from organically grown corn from your own garden?!?!?!?! Hog Daddy has taught me so much.

I also recently wrote about Strangers, the buzzy memoir about a NYC socialite’s husband abruptly leaving her. It’s an incredible read, and I was struck by how Belle Burden’s adhere to traditional femininity AND her attraction to her husband’s “masculine” qualities ended up being a trap from which she barely escaped.

On the podcast, Emily and I had the 783rd version of a conversation we’ve been having ever since we met. What does it mean to “want” kids? What does it mean to “not want” kids? And what are we really asking when we ask a woman “do you want kids?”
“Do you want kids” is the Wrong Question
Lastly, please clap for this reel.
