I am incapable of buying almost anything without phoning a friend.
Online shopping is my hobby and my hell (shout-out to my fellow hags!), and I like to milk a shopping treasure hunt for all its worth which means I’ll ask at least 5 people what their favorite water bottle is (and why!) before I take the plunge. When I buy something vetted by a real person’s experience, it feels like I’m buying something based on SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH rather than buying shit to fill the gaping hole of amorphous need within me. Also - google kinda sucks when you’re looking for something really specific. No algorithm can beat a personal rec!
Throughout the years of In Pursuit, you all have recommended dry erase calendars, soft pants, good striped t-shirts, tupperware, books, podcasts, and practical winter hats. You’ve made my life richer with one-pot dinner recipes, wool socks, and water filters.
I’m currently on the hunt for four items (and seeking reviews about another item).
A sports bra that’s easy to get on and off. This might be a small-boob specific request, but I got the below sports bra from Target years ago and it’s perfect. Smooth microfiber or whatever, no itchy bits, and no acrobatics required.
A shower cap that doesn’t let water in. In efforts to preserve my hair color, I’m trying to wash my hair as little as possible because vanity. I’ve tried two whatever shower caps but they both let in more water than I’d like.
Kid joggers with a soft waistband - like the foldover waistband that was big in the early aughts. Here’s the pair of Old Navy ones (no longer available) I’m trying to replicate
A dog bed. I like this one but want it to have bolster sides, am intrigued by this one (but scared of price tag), and wanted this one until a friend said it sucked.
I’ve been considering Nutrafol for literally YEARS (see above note about hair vanity), and Rudy Jude was VERY CLOSE to converting me. Have any of you used it and DOES IT WORK.
