There are so many good points in this interview that I would basically be restocking the whole damn thing. In this very real sense do we exist in and for ourselves or only in relationship to our role (that society and culture have sculpted for us) as nourishers (as parents, as support staff, as sexual object and even as we become elders...as wise fonts of wisdom). What about just...us?

Chicagoan here! I hate to go with the clichés, but they are clichés because everyone likes them, ;)

Walk/shop Michigan Ave, Rush Street, Oak Street. Architectural Boat Cruise. Millennium Park (although I think The Bean is boarded up) and walk along Lake Michigan to the Museum Campus (Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium).

Lincoln Park (basically Armitage and Halstead). Bucktown or Wicker Park (others may have better sense of streets there).

Garrett's Popcorn (cheese and caramel mix), Uno, Due or Giordano's deep dish pizza. Weiner Circle for hot dogs and staff with an attitude late night. Stan's Donuts.

Have fun!
