I see these balms and think: "This will give me inflammatory acne." Just me?

I do have to share this about canning: My mom canned a shit ton of stuff, and froze alot, too. She was born in the mid 1920s, as was my dad, and tried to save wherever possible. That meant growing and making your own stuff whenever you could and preserving for later on. I had to help when I was growing up, and I hated it. I haven't done any of it since leaving home, but my daughter does. I gave her all my mom's recipes, cookbooks, jars, etc., when I cleared out the house after my dad passed away. As a SAHM of 4 she saves alot by growing her own stuff, then canning and freezing it. She's not trying to be trendy--she's not even into social media--she's just doing what works for her.

The Miracle Balm is nice! I really like the tawny color as a quick cheek color/bronzer. I feel like you get a lot of product for the price. It apples well and is probably my favorite thing from Jones Road. I will say that the Oak Essentials Balm seems like a moisturizer? The MB is more like a cosmetic than a treatment or skin care.

Miracle Balm is….ok. It def doesn’t take the place of foundation or tinted moisturizer for me, and its texture doesn’t work well over those things. I like it when I’m feeling like a “less makeup” day but still want a little dew.
