Until last week after a conversation with a good friend I hadn’t realized that guys go through this too. I think I could have made the logic jump but it just didn’t quite click. There isn’t the same social pressure we women have - but they do also go those shifts and have to go through the process of realizing “oh ok this person still puts effort into catching up and being a good friend, this person not so much.” So basically if you have male friends that are single - they might not say it but they might want to be celebrated too
Um… my first thought was “oh that shirt is meant to be ironic.” I live in a city so it might be the culture - but my first thought if I saw someone in this on the street would be “oh that’s a joke.” So she might not get as much mileage as she thinks out of it…
Also WTF - maybe not everyone gets to this place unless you’re in your 30s and unmarried (shock horror 🙄). You realize how many people don’t celebrate relationships because they didn’t end in marriage. God forbid you have one ex you end up staying friendly with b/c you decide the friendship you developed shouldn’t go in the trash. Or you have a casual relationship that is somehow emotionally fulfilling. Or the colleagues you bond with because you both worked for a terrible boss. Or you love being auntie to your friends kids and think “man I do want my own but if one day I’m “just” an auntie - maybe that’s awesome too.”
I would go look at this Instagram but I’m afraid of a rage stroke.
That's a wise choice - I do NOT recommend it. And yes yes yes - was just talking to someone recently about wanting to be more deliberate and intentional about celebrating loved ones' non-marriage/baby/promotion life milestones.
Hi, this isn't the correct forum, but I have to point out ballerina farm's "zippadeedoodah" on her IG stories and I thought that racist movie was tamped down. Is it a home school staple?
That t-shirt is NOT real!! Tell me you’ve taken up graphic design in your spare time and it’s all a very funny sick joke.
I WISH
Whoever designed the “masculine men” shirt had to be trolling her. Famously maybe-gay David as your paragon of cishet masculinity?
Wowwwww that "My Husband is my Only Fan" shirt is a VERY rich text
You can appreciate how difficult it was to choose JUST ONE tshirt to screenshot, right?
oh, definitely!
Ahh so much WTF!!

Wait, that shirt is not meant to be a joke???
I feel so dirty after clicking through and seeing that IG account! Yikes.
I KNOW. The research for this particular part of the book was rough.
You're doing the Lord's work! Keep it up, and thank you :)

I totally noticed that but was more distracted by the cheeriness of the tune juxtaposed with the indisputably UNCHEERY CHORE OF DISH WASHING.
