As someone who once had an agent and had a proposal die on submission this is encouraging, but thanks also for sharing the realities of the highs and lows of the after-the-book-deal part! Your writing HAS changed the way I think and feel about being a mom, for sure, and I only wish I’d read it when my kid was young and life as a parent was different than it is now that he’s off on his own. Thanks for sharing all the steps you went through. Books take it all, don’t they. I have one publishing tomorrow. I think I’ll go out in the garden and weed now!!
