I’m flying to Florida on Saturday with my family to visit my dad which means at the time of writing, I am Stressed About Packing but not doing anything to alleviate said stress by actually packing because that’s how I like to roll. In other news, I’m so excited to share this very cool Momfluenced giveaway!
To enter, simply fill out this form (it requires you to upload a pic of your preorder receipt), and you will receive a sticker sheet designed by my favorite local shop, Gus and Ruby, PLUS a bookplate, AND if you can show proof of purchase of at least 5 copies you will be automatically entered into a raffle to win a video call from me for your book club. Extremely psyched to zoom into a juicy book club convo. Spread the word!

Good recs feel like the natural opposite of algorithmic Insta ads from hell in that they come to me (or come from me) unfettered by transactional pressure. I’m not sharing a rec because I’m invested in you spending money on some truly hideous clogs, for example, I’m sharing a rec because those truly hideous clogs have made my feet way happier than they were pre truly hideous clogs and maybe just maybe they can make your feet happier too! All of this is to say that in addition to getting Let’s Discuss roundups as part of your paid subscription, you’ll also get a totally unsolicited rec from yours truly. As should be evident from the many hours I spend invested in culturally critiquing ads for heat pumps, shorts that make men’s penises look bigger (?????) or anti-aging skincare modeled by people who may or may not be old enough to legally consume alcohol, I’m obsessed with material culture and I’m obsessed with sharing my obsessions because in a vast ocean of bad products and empty promises, it’s genuinely thrilling to find something that legit works to [fill in the blank]. So without further ado, here’s my first installment of . . .
